The islands of the Caribbean Netherlands are of volcanic origin within oceanic crust.
Globalshift regards them as having no oil and gas potential, onshore or offshore.
History
Two offshore wells were drilled by Petrofina in 1977 and 1982 (Saba Bank-1 and Saba Bank-2 respectively). They were both dry. Otherwise the Caribbean Netherlands has no history of drilling and no production.
Globalshift does not forecast any future production of oil or gas in the territory.
