The atolls of Tuvalu comprise coral sands and reefs growing on oceanic crust of the Pacific tectonic plate in the western South Pacific Ocean.
Globalshift regards Tuvalu as having no oil and gas potential onshore and offshore.
History
The three coral atolls of Tokelau have no history of drilling and production. No exploration wells have ever been drilled on any the islands of the territory or in their surrounding waters.
Globalshift does not forecast any future production of oil or gas from the territory.
