Jan 2017: Frontera has signed a Concession Agreement to explore for hydrocarbon resources within an area of 3 million acres in the Dobrudga Basin in the south of the country

Nov 2016: Frontera has been chosen as winner of the bidding for an exploration and production block subject to both Frontera Resources International and the Government of Moldova negotiating suitable terms. The bidding was conducted by the Agency of Geology and Mineral Resources of the Ministry of Environment.

Aug 2014: Moldova inaugurated the 43 km Iasi-Ungheni gas pipeline to bring in Romanian gas and reduce dependence on Russia. Initially the pipeline will carry only 50 million cm per year covering 5% of needs but it has the potential to carry 1.5 bcm with an extension to the capital.

Aug 2013: Aminex has agreed to acquire all the issued share capital of Canyon whose assets consist of one producing well in the Valeni Field in southern Moldova. The Valeni Field is mostly owned by Valiexchimp, a domestic Moldovan company. A well has recently been drilled on this field and is expected to come on-stream in 2013.
